About the Show:

Two writers bent toward performance set out to define the blurred edges of the stories
that make them individuals in a crowd. Poetry, comedy, a little dancing here and there,
and there you have a solo show--two, in fact--ready for theaters and an audience.
When asked to articulate what they’re all about, the pair find that words can’t describe.

“Words Can’t Describe” unites two of the performance art world’s brightest new stars.
Atlanta-based Scott Turner Schofield (formerly known as Kt Kilborn) was named
“a bright, important new performer in this country” by performance artist Tim Miller.
Northampton, MA resident S. Bear Bergman has published writing in over 15 anthologies,
one of which is nominated for a Lamda Literary Award this year. Bergman’s work
has received generous support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Millay Colony.
Both artists tour their performances nationally and in Canada, full-time.

Schofield will present his acclaimed solo show, “Debutante Balls”, rounding out the evening
with Bergman’s award-winning production, “Clearly Marked”. Together, these solo artists
present a limited engagement of boundary-breaking, edgy, hilarious and accessible work.
They aim to the core of the personal, resting at show’s end in the warm arms of the universal --
that is, according to audiences across North America who have seen the shows.
Through awkward social situations and sticky labels, each piece speaks warm truths
to anyone who has ever felt “different” -- namely everyone -- with a hearty dose
of self-effacing laughter along the way.

If you're looking for theater that informs, entertains, challenges, and enlightens;
something that leaves everyone thinking differently or at least a lot more,
"Words Can't Describe" is theater for you.
